Saint turned sinner? Charge sheet filed against Asaram Bapu

Jodhpur, Nov 6: Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu 72, had a charge sheet filed against him by the Jodhpur police, today for allegedly raping a minor at his Jodhpur ashram as well as for gang rape.

He was arrested on September 1 from his Indore Ashram and is currently at Jodhpur Central Jail. If the charges are proved, he will face a further increased jail sentence of up to 20 years as per Section 376D of the IPC.

Chhindwara gurukul caretaker Sharat Chandra, hostel warden Shilpi, his personal caretaker Shiva and driver-cum-personal cook Prakash have also been accused by the police for assisting him in his alleged crimes. The prosecution has expressed confidence in bringing all the accused to justice with the testimony of 58 witnesses.

The Godman meanwhile protested his innocence by claiming that everyone was set on portraying him as a 'dracula'.

    For kind of information to Minded people only charge sheet does not mean the person has committed that crime Rape has not confirmed even in medical report even then they writ about it. This case is fabricated and congress Government can do anything to malign the image of person who supports BJP.and for others just listen to these type of news and dance like anything.

    Days of so called ' god man ' are numbered. The devotees and faithful are too sharp. Gone are the days of meek submission. Everyone's eyes are wide open if not too wide open. So be aware all ' god men '
