Lawrence endured injuries during movie shoot

Los Angeles, Nov 8 (IANS): Actress Jennifer Lawrence had a tough time shooting for sci-fi adventure "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire". She even sustained injuries during the schedule.

Lawrence shared her ordeal through an online session with her fans, read a statement.

Of one water sequence in the film, she said: "I went deaf in one ear for two and a half weeks. I had a double ear infection, because I had to keep diving into the water. The jets from the water kept puncturing my eardrums."

In another incident, the 23-year-old was attacked by monkeys and got trench foot because of prolonged exposure to damp.

"It was the worst! We were filming in a swamp for days. I’m paranoid in general and Josh wouldn’t stop talking about trench foot and fungi when we were in the swamp. He would say: ‘That’s what happens to your feet if you keep them wet for too long.’ And we had spent 73 hours with our feet in the water! I was freaking out," she said.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire", the second instalment of "The Hunger Games" trilogy, focuses on Katniss Everdeen, played by Lawrence, who returns home after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games.

It also stars actors Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
