Fujairah: Thumbay Group hosts lecture by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam

Fujairah, Nov 10: Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India delivered a special talk on 'Evolution of World Knowledge Platform' in Fujairah on Thursday November 7 during ‘The Signature Event for Businessmen – 2013’. He addressed a group of businessmen, industrialists, and members of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & industry and a large number of executives from all over UAE. Over 250 guests participated in the function, which was held at Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah.
Before the function, the dignitaries had an audience with Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah. discussed bilateral issues with Dr Abdul Kalam during the meeting.
Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of Department of Industry and Economy, Abdullah Mohammed Al Jassim, Chairman, Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Thumbay Moideen Founder President Thumbay Group UAE and Khalid Mohammed Al Jassim, Director General of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce were some of the dignitaries who attended the lecture.

Dr Abdul Kalam said that the World Knowledge platform will enable joint design, development, cost effective production and marketing of the knowledge products, systems and services in various domains based on the core competence of partner nations to international market. World knowledge platform is a meeting place for science, technology, industry, management and marketing.
Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi felicitated the chief guest Dr A P J Abdul Kalam for gracing the occasion and also felicitated Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group UAE for his proactive measures in the fields of Healthcare Services and Medical Education in the country.
Later Thumbay Moideen presented special mementoes to Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of Department of Industry and Economy, Abdullah Mohammed Al Jassim, Chairman Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Khlaid Mohammed Al Jassim, Director General of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The function was followed by a luncheon and Fujairah Tourism Department played a special video on the Emirate of Fujairah.
