The meeting marked a saga of the scholarly initiatives and achievements of the Gulf Medical University community that is reflected in its theme: “15 years of GMU- an emerging story of Education, Healthcare, Quality, Research and Innovation."

Every academic year two whole days are dedicated to celebrate the research works and provide an opportunity to attend the presentations in large numbers, hear the discussions and benefit from the new knowledge that has been generated.   “These scientific gatherings also serve as a font of inspiration for further research in collaboration with the different medical and health sciences faculties” said Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost GMU. The research studies formed a medley of observational and experimental studies conducted in hospital, community and laboratory settings, she added.

This year 422 participants had gathered for the meeting including 92 faculty and hospital members and 330 students.
