Bhatkal: Nine injured in car-tempo collision

Bhatkal, Nov 26: Nine people were injured when a car and a tempo collided head-on near Ananthwadi Manki on November 25 around 9:30 am.

Six of car passengers were seriously injured and were taken to Kundapur for treatment.

On of the identified injured Faisal Shaikh (22) is said to be in critical condition.The other five passengers in the car were identified as Tahoor Shaikh, Navid Shaikh, Waseem Shaikh, Sadiqeen Shaikh and Abu Muhammed Shaikh.

Tempo passengers, Madhukar Naik, Vinayak Naik and Veena Naik also suffered minor injuries but were discharged after treatment at the Manki Govt Hospital.

Police stated that the tempo was carrying passengers from Honnavar and was on its way to Bhatkal. The accident occurred
