Mumbai, Nov 26: The metro’s sub-Committee of Brahma Baidarkala Pancha Doomavati Garodi, Tonse – Kallianpur (Udupi) held a felicitation programme at Dr M Vishveshwarayya auditorium of Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West) here on Sunday November 24.

Brahma Baidarkala Pancha Doomavati Garodi, Tonse – Kallianpur (Udupi) managing trustee Janardhan Tonse presided over the function.

Entrepreneurs Tonse Harish Suvarna, Rajgopal Shetty, Harish S Suvarna, Sarvottam Poojary, Bhaskar Jattan, Shekar Gujjarabettu, D B Amin and Karnoor Mohan Rai were the chief guests present on the occasion.

The metro’s sub-Committee active member and Bharat Bank (Mumbai) Limited newly elected director Ashok M Kotian was felicitated during the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Janardhan said that Brahma Baidarkala Pancha Doomavati Garodi, Tonse – Kallianpur (Udupi) is one of the top worship centers among 242 Garodis.  He was fortunate to meet the natives in the metro for seeking contributions for fast developing the Tonse Garodi that is the replica of communal harmony, said Janardhan.

Ashok Kotian in acknowledgement of the honor said that he believes the felicitation is meant for devotion to duty and for Tonse extended family.

Lakumi, theater troupe staged a Tulu play, ‘Yelya Vishaya Malla Malpodchi’ to raise funds for education and health at metro’s sub-committee.

Mumbai sub-committee deputy president C K Poojary, assistant secretary Naveen Gulibettu, treasurer Raviraj Kallianpur, joint treasurer Karunakar Poojary, Vittal Poojary, Anand Jattan, Sundar Jattan, Roopkumar Kallianpur, Lazar M Kotian and others were present on the occasion.

The metro’s sub-committee executive president Nityanand D Kotian compered the programme.  The vice president Vishwanath Tonse proposed vote of thanks.
