Goregaon Karnataka Sangha to host 'Rangasiri' on Dec 1

Mumbai, Nov 29: Novel and Theatre are intertwined and grown as part of our culture.  It has a long history.  It is reflected in our speech and our relationships. An artistic person’s medium is culture and art.

There are many articles not been printed or published for want of resources.  Goregaon Karnataka Sangha intends to bring them to the common man through their Rangasthala and Granthayana departments.  A programme named ‘Rangasiri’ will be held on December 1 at 4:30 pm for the purpose.

Pooja J Kamath, organizer and scholar will be inaugurating the programme.  Payyar Ramesh Shetty, president of the association will give a key note address.  Petri Vishwanatha Shetty, director of Rangasthala will preside over the programme.  Smitha Patkar, will be giving a lecture on Women’s Yakshagana as a prelude to a series of lectures.

The second adaptation of the series of literary programmes will also be held then. Petri Vishwanath Shetty will set the programme in motion by reading a mini story written by him.  Rakshitha Nayak, Meena Kalavar, Jayakar Poojary, Aparna Rao, Mohini Poojary, Gayatri Ramu etc will present their stories.

Convener Laxmi Anchan and Smitha Patkar have requested art and literature lovers to attend the programme in large numbers.
