5,387 dengue cases in the capital


New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS): The number of dengue cases in the capital has reached 5,387, a health official said Monday. No further deaths have been reported.

An additional 68 cases have been reported from the NationalCapital Region, including parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, said a municipal health officer.

In Delhi, most cases have been reported from the north zone (2,152), followed by south (1,613) and east (1,483) zones.

There have been six deaths in the city due to the vector-borne disease.
