Udupi: Man dies after jumping in front of moving train

Udupi, Dec 8:  A resident from Kaup ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train near Inannje Madumbu Mahaganapathi Temple on Saturday December 7 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Devadiga (34), son of Eshwar Devadiga residing close to Kaup Kalya Bramahalingeshwara temple.

Ganesh Devadiga who went to the railway track parked his cycle on the road and jumped onto the track.

The body was totally shattered after a train rammed into him. Under the initiative of Soori Shetty the shattered remains were collected and sent to a morgue. He is survived by his father, mother and two sisters.

Kaup police station crime detection department sub inspector Lakshman Nayak visited the spot. A case has been registered at the Kaup police station.
