Bhatkal: Woman, son killed in accident at Yellapur

Bhatkal, Dec 10: In a tragic accident, a woman and her son were killed on the spot when a truck rammed into their bike and drove over their bodies.

The accident occurred on Sunday December 8 evening at Yellapur and Mundgod Highway near Hunushetti Koppa.

Umesh Chawdappa Waarigowda (23) and his mother Honnava Chawdappa Waarigowda (50) were killed on the spot when they were returning to their house at Hunushetti Koppa after shopping.

The truck carrying bore-well equipment rammed their bike and they were thrown on to the road.

PSI Shridhar SR has filed a case against the truck driver Srinavas Chinnaswamy from Tamil Nadu.
