Indian man in Dubai denies molestation charges


Dubai, Dec 10 (IANS): An Indian man has denied the charge of molesting a woman after breaking into a house here with the intent to burgle.

The 28-year-old man, identified by his name's initials MP, scaled the wall and broke into the victim's villa in Al Barsha area here and looted some articles, but before leaving he started touching her as she slept, the National reported Tuesday.

The man admitted to stealing 1,650 dirhams (about $449), three smartphones and three passports but he denied the charge of molestation in the Dubai Criminal Court Tuesday.

The daughter of the woman, who is also an Indian, said she saw the man taking items from the house.

The verdict of the case is expected Dec 24.
