Kasargod: Accused in Muthalib murder case stabbed

Kasargod, Dec 17: A youth on Monday December 16 allegedly stabbed a man who is accused in the murder case of real estate dealer Muthalib (38) of Uppala.

Mohammed Rafiq (22) of Uppala Mulinja, the accused who was stabbed, was admitted to a hospital in Mangalore with serious injuries.

Rafiq was the third accused in the murder case. The incident occurred when Rafiq was being taken to Kasargod sub jail after being produced in the court.

The police have taken a person into custody in this connection. 

Muthalib was murdered on October 24 at Uppala. The police had arrested Mohammed Rafiq, Kalia Rafiq and Samshuddin in connection with the case.
