Mangalore: Over 50 Rahul Gandhi banners damaged - Congress to protest

Mangalore, Dec 19: The Congress party leaders and activists have alleged that more than fifty of their banners put between Maravoor and Karkala have been deliberately damaged. They claim that it is the work of anti-social elements to insult the Congress party and its leaders.

The party has said that four generations of the Gandhi family have made sacrifices for the nation and the Congress party to build the country as one of the strongest in the world. They had displayed more than 100 banners, showing party national vice-president Rahul Gandhi, from Maravoor to Karkala, out of which over fifty were found to be destroyed, the party said.

The party has said that it will be holding a rally from Mijar Bolechar to Kaikamba on December 22, at 2.30 pm to protest against the act.

Former union minister and national leader of Congress party, B Janardhana Poojary will flag off the rally. A vehicle rally will proceed till Bajpe police station to submit a memorandum in this regard. Vijayanath Vittal Shetty, a party leader has urged people to participate in the protest march.

Raj Shetty , you have a very good sense of humour ! For a party that has ruled the country for almost 57 years with leaders mainly from one family you are saying that they are weak and incapable . I guess you should speak to some foreigners what exactly they think about India . Yes there is corruption ,no doubt . We know very well where India is standing. It's due to the wrong policy of Nehru we defeated in China War where in we have lost more than 75% of the armed forces. It's request from Nehru banned RSS gone to border to be with Army.
Again it's the wrong policy of Indira Gandhi earlier on Srilanka and afterwards by Rajiv Gandhi to send army..we lost our many jawans.
Indira Gandhi made a wrong move during the invasion of pakistan completely with capture of 80,000 soldiers not made any soluton of Kashmir.
We are a so strong country..terrorist not afraid to attack our parliament.
We are so strong country people from our neighboring states Bangladesh doing illegal activities in India are more than Five Crores.
As such now India is not good relation with bhutan/burma/nepal or srilanka.
We do not have any super power countries to support..either Russia of America..if by chance war broke out between China/Pakistan together.
India still not a powerful country as per western thinking.
We are used only to dump their products in our market.
Our export is less rather than we import more.
Now even our mines are becoming barren due to looting by the government.
Our most of our well qualified people working in other countries.
People do not have food..unemployment, crime rate increasing..it's gift of Nehru-Gandhi family. Jai Ho..

When you put banners against the DIRECTION OF WIND, it automatically gets damaged. That is why you need to put 4-5 small holes in the banner to allow wind to pass through.

The Truth is - Sardar Patel's Photo is taken by Modi because Cong neglected this own Great Leader for 50 long years. Had Cong given due respect to Sardar Patel then Modi had absolutely NO scope to take his photo.
