Bangalore: Yeddyurappa to be admitted to BJP in a few days: Prahlad Joshi

Belgaum (Kar), Dec 20 (PTI): Karnataka Janatha Paksha leader and former Chief Minister B S Yedyurappa will be admitted to BJP in a few days, state party chief Prahlad Joshi said today.

Joshi said he had raised the issue of Yeddyurappa's homecoming with party's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who was here today, for a function.

The matter was before central leaders, he said. Yeddyurappa had also said three days ago that he has an "open mind" about joining BJP and a clear picture on his homecoming might emerge in the next four to five days.

Soon after the assembly polls in five states, senior BJP leaders from Karnataka had met party chief Rajnath Singh and urged him to start the process of bringing Yeddyurappa back into the party fold.

Yeddyurappa has supported Narendra Modi's candidature for Prime Ministership and also written to NDA Chairman L K Advani to take KJP into its fold.

Yeddyurappa, who quit the Chief Ministership in July 2011 over illegal mining bribery charges, quit BJP last year and launched KJP.

Mr. BS Yedurappa's re-entry into BJP will strengthen that party considerably, Mr. Yedurappa is strong leader of Lingayatha community, he has tremendous influence in North Karnataka, Chithradurga, Raichur, Koppala and his native Shivamoga district, last Karnataka assembly election he manages to take away more than 10% of the vote share and win 6 seats in short period of 4 months since he formed his KJP, his KJP Candidates came second & lost by a narrow margin in North karnataka and Shivamoga district, while BJP came 4th and lost its deposit in 110 constituencies, this split of vote benefited Congress and they came to power, in coastal Karnataka it was anger of the people which caused BJP's down fall, these are the true facts clearly visible in Election commissioners official assembly results web site, this clearly shows, what this corrupt greedy, power hungry EX CM Yedurappa can do. No one should underestimate him, he has no shame and doesn't give a damn about it.

In upcoming Lok Sabha poll BJP will do considerably well, with Yedurappa joining and Modi wave will help it to win lots of seats, Congress will do better than the 2009 election, but may not be able to gain a lot as AAP will cause some upsets.
This is the ground reality. Congress led UPA will definitely won't come to power in 2014, its gone conclusion, people had enough of their corruption, scams, bad governance. Time for change.
As far as Lokpal bill is concerned, both Congress, BJP has played tricks and passed a weak bill with lot of loopholes, which will never work, will not stop corruption, in fact corruption will increase than decrease.

God please save us from these corrupt filthy useless politicians.
We request all my M'lorean brothers & sisters please support and vote for AAP (Aam Admi Party) candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, it is the only party with credibility, non corrupt and will work for the people, take a leaf out of the recent Delhi assembly poll.

    Jai AAP,Jai Hind, Jai Karnataka.

    Dear readers,

Yesterday BJP supported 'Lokayukta bill' in the parliament.

A day after it reinstating his one of the worst corrupt chief Minister to the party fold.

A party protested all 'G' corruptions of congress and now they are extending an olive branch to yeddy'G'

I believe this culture of BJP.In the Jaswant Singh,Uma Bharati expelled and welcome backed.

A party of difference.A shining Karnataka and Shining India.

    Ramesh Poojary,

So you are saying Yeddy learnt from his mistake? or Prahlad joshi learned from his mistake?

BJP in karnataka or central is not in power now, if it was - then you can image the corruption with BJP too. like you said power makes a person corrupt

Truth First, BSY might learn from a mistake never know. So asking him to give a opportunity. If BSY doesn't learn from his past mistakes then anyway people will dump him as they did with INC by 4-0. Don't write imaginary situations like if BJP were in power ...they also would have been corrupt. We have Modi who is leading by example with good admistration and corruption free state with a hatrick win which you would not see in INC.

Our Yeddyurappa will be the next C.M. The BJP will raise him to that position, but on one condition, that he has to win the next election. It is the severest test of honesty, sincerity, openness, transparency, accountability and responsibility towards the citizens of the State. Karnataka knows very well the drama played in the past. Its only prudent that Yedduyarappa needs BJP more than BJP needs him...Only now both stand to gain substantially as Yeddy still has the Lingayat community under his grasp. Similarly BSR also needs to re-join BJP> Remember Congi won because of a three way split of BJP as well as division of votes to JDS. In May 2013 it was NOT a vote in favour of Congress - Moreso now Siddhu has started showing true colours, he will be shown the door soon by Poojary, Moily & Kharge gang

Mr Truth First, Power makes the person corrupt. AAP is still not there in power. Recall BSY till he tasted power. BSY was one of the most honest man till he tasted power. Same is the case with INC. INC rules majorly in post independence and you will not see a single leader from INC who is not corrupt. Just wait and watch. Once AAP assumes power in Delhi, their real test starts. Till then it is too early to say APP is 0 corrupt.

Thief is also a human being. Give him a chance to change his house and attitude. He would have become a thief for some reasons or circumstances made him so. If he changes his attitude and does not repeat his past mistakes then he can come out to be good person for the society. Just changing house is not enough. Change of mind and learn from past mistakes also need to incorporate. Can we expect this from INC leaders...no right....After 2G...3G comes...CoalG comes...then VadraG comes and then 12th richest lady comes out....Did they learn from their mistakes? Never...
