Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (EP)

Mangalore, Dec 20: A group of people allegedly kidnapped two students of a private college at Deralakatte and clicked their indecent pictures and blackmailed them.

The kidnapped are said to be a boy from Kerala and a girl from Bihar.

A group of 6 is said to have kidnapped the two in a car belonging to the duo on Wednesday night December 18. The group then allegedly clicked indecent pictures of the students in different poses and demanded Rs 30,000. When the students said they did not have the money with them, the culprits snatched their mobile phones and sent them to get the amount.

The kidnapped students lodged a police complaint through a lady advocate in Mangalore. As per the instructions of the police, the students called up their own phone mobile phones which were with the culprits and agreed to pay the ransom sum.

The kidnappers asked them to bring the money to a place near Deralakatte. When the students went there with the money, the kidnappers who have suspected that the police were aware of the incident escaped in the Maruti swift car in which they had arrived.

A case has been registered in Konaje police station.

OUR POLICE DEPT. COULD MAKE OUT THE KIDNAPPERS ESCAPED IN SWIFT CAR BUT COULD NOT FOLLOW SWIFTLY BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE SWIFT CAR.
EVERYTIME IT HAPPENS LIKE THAT FOR THE REASONS KNOWN TO ONE AND ALL HOW OUR POLICE DEPT. WORKS ALL DEPENDS UPON HOW MUCH WE ARE AFFORD TO PAY AND ON BEHALF OF THE HIGHEST BIDDER. THIS IS JUST TO DISCOURAGE POLICE CASES COMING IN.

There are many such active gangs who blackmail Students from other States studying in Professional colleges in DK & Udupi and extract a huge ransom . But since the Students do not give police complaint such cases do not come out.
