Udupi, Dec 20: In yet another case of its kind, a black magician allegedly cheated a woman for over three years and looted her gold, cash and even her property by repeatedly scaring her of some 'doom' that may befall on her family if she did not do as he said.

Accused Prasad Kumar

Leela, a resident of Shirva, on Friday December 20 alleged that Prasad Kumar, a black magician had made her believe that bad things would happen to her family. Since 2010, he managed to extract nearly 2 lac from her apart from several pieces of gold jewellery and 20 cents of land.

Leela first made acquaintance of Prasad at a relative's house. There, he told her that there would be a death in her family, which frightened her as her husband Sweekar S had been injured in an accident. Believing his words, she invited him to her house where he conducted some rituals and took Rs 20,000 from her.

Her husband died a short while later, which made her believe in the black magician even more. The next time he came, he took Rs 80,000 from her and told her she should be inviting him frequently or her two daughters and son would fall ill.

This way, over a period of three years, Prasad came to her house frequently, performed rituals and took Rs 50,000 and another Rs 35,000 as fee on different occasions. He also gave the excuse of a wedding and took gold chain, bracelet, pendent, three rings and pairs of earrings from her, all the time issuing threats of bad omen if she did not listen to him. It is said that Leela had come into some money after the death of her husband, and Prasad knew about it and exploited her.

On another occasion, he told her to purchase 50 cents of land at Kalthur stating that it would bring her good luck. Convinced by his words, she gave a cheque of Rs 4.75 lac and Rs 75,000 in cash. He then told her that is she purchased 50 cents of land there would be problem from the income tax department, and got 20 of the 50 cents transferred to his own name.

When Leela's relative who had first introduced her to Prasad came to know about the land issue, he along with other relatives confronted the black magician, but the latter allegedly threatened and man-handled them.

Among Leela's two daughters, one is a teacher and another is a law student, while her son is an electrician. The black magician allegedly hypnotised and troubled her daughters, and unable to bear his misbehaviour, one of the daughters reportedly eloped and married a painter.

A case has been registered in Shirva police station. During the press meet, the family alleged that the police have not yet arrested Prasad due to 'political pressure'.

Political pressure cannot be from anyone else but from BD\BJP who are fighting against implementing the law against such superstitions in Karnataka.
Police should not bother about the political pressure and take action against the Black magician for cheating and recover her money from him and if possible from the politicians etc. who are pressurizing the police not to take action. It makes me think they too are partners with this FEKU.

    So many FEKU's nowadays!!!

Leelavati's husband died as predicted by black Magician Prasad , which proves that Leelavati's husband's death is not natural death but Black magician must have played some dirty game and administered Poison to prove that his Prediction always comes true and win Confidence of that family.
So, police should investigate from this Angle by Considering the death of husband Sweekar as a suspected murder by Magician Prasad.

    Smart Black Magician!
Generally, people dont share their problem with their friends and relatives who can give them better advise, rather they go to black magicians and end up like this.
