I was curious of this as I was in a bus that was bound for Goa. The bus was redirected due to road block and we could see a huge crowd gathered on the road, and the bus driver was told that there was a shooting (with a gun of course). Seems to be the work of a professional/sharp shooter?? Given the fact that Mr. Naik had an armed bodyguard adds more to the speculation. Thanks DW for the coverage.

Gun carried by BJP leaders gunman who killed other members which is tit for tat revenge end of the story. People India will have great problems because this BJP leader is also carried gun why? Leaders are made themselves terrorist and blame others. Live a leading life to show moral, ethics, so that others can follow you. Indian leaders live in full of corruption, bad reputations and ask ordinary people live good life how can it be possible

Nadava Community being very small community confined to only Ankola, they did not have any State Level leader except R.N Naik. It is very sad to see the only Nadava leader died in such a manner. May his Soul RIP.

Sad to see Raj Shetty ( UAE ) and Surendra Poojari ( Mangalore ) having a verbal war of words instead of praying for the departed Soul and conveying condolences to the bereaved family of the Late Shri R.N.Naik. Hope and pray the culprits of this henious crime are caught and punished.

But now when BJP Leader got murdered by some criminals, all those our friends here comments differently. Murder of BJP Leader or Worker OK for them but tearing banner of Congress Leader is not OK!!!!!

When people can come from Pakistan to Kargil with guns and bombs, why can't people come from UP to Ankola?

    I agree with Justice Mangalore,
There might be a reason behind this murder. Hope our government will reveal the actual truth behind this murder.
One can't deny own party hands involving such acts just for political gain. Police authorities should thoroughly checked instead of suspecting underworld's hand.

RIP. Sad news, Still the bodyguard has done his duty. Those who responsible must be caught and hanged. Our Indian law is not so tough to teach good lesson to all culprits. Good luck to UP police.

Good question. Finally Ravi Shetty woke up from UAE. Did ask the same question when churches were attacked in Karnataka? Did you ask the same question when unarmed people were attacked by goons in Karnataka? If you have asked the same that time, then I will second your statement.

Because its of a BJP member in your congi ruled state. If the Govt was of BJP and the victim was a congi then different tune would have come out of your flute.
If the same was of a congi businessmen in Gujrath then the center would have set up another caged parrot to fix Modi and you would have all joined the bandwagon.
