Dubai, Dec 22: Kannadigaru Dubai celebrated the 58th Karnataka Rajyotsava on Friday the 20th of December, 2013 at Nashwan Hall, Al Nasr Leisureland, Dubai in a jam packed venue flocked by Kannadigas from all part of UAE.
The programme commenced at 6 pm with invocation song rendered by well known play back singer Shiva Kumar melodiously sung which was an innovative presentation of its kind. Soon the sparkling anchors, Bhagya Sadan Das & Vidya Shiva Kumar took over the stage and invited the guests on to the stage. President Sadan Das lead the invited Guests viz., Member of Parliament from Chitradurga, Janardhan Swamy, Theatre legend Dr. Master Hirennaiah, Main Sponsor Mohammed Mustafa of M2 Engineering Consultancy Company, K.J. Ganiga of Chilly Willy Trading, Comedy King Prof. Krishne Gowda, Management Team Members, Mallikarjuna Gowda, Veerendra Babu & Aruna Mutugadur on to the stage. While invited Comedy duo Ravi Bajantri & Indumathi Salimat were also welcomed.
With due respect, UAE National song was rendered and later Kannada 'Naada Geete' 'Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujaathe' was sung by the Gana Lahari Team while the whole audience including those guests on the stage stood with great honour. While the traditional lighting the lamp was going on the Gana Lahari Team in the background sang the 'Hachchevu Kannadada Deepa Song' which gave more brightness to the lighted lamps.
Sadan Das delivered a lightning welcome speech in Kannada which gave a good start to the programme. Later the Theatre Legend, Master Hirennaiah's introduction was done by Jyothi Mallikarjuna Gowda and the Master was felicitated with Flower bouquet, Fruit Basket, Shawl, Memento, Mysore Peta by Mallikarjuna Gowda, Janardhana Swamy, Sadan Das, Veerendra Baby & Mohammed Mustafa respectively. In response to the honour Master Hirennaiah rendered a thrilling speech with full of wit and humour and surprisingly his 55th Wedding Anniversary was also remembered at that moment and wished. He said that he did not remember his anniversary until his wife called and scolded; and he said that it is nice to get scolding's by his wife at this age which shows that she loves more and more.
Later the energetic young and dynamic MP from Chitradurga, Janardhan Swamy was introduced by Aruna Mutugadur and the honourable Parliamentarian was felicitated with Flower Bouquet, Fruit Basket, Shawl, Mysore Peta and Memento by K.J. Ganiga, Aruna Mutugadur, Prof. Krishne Gowda, Mohd. Mustafa & Master Hirennaiah respectively. Soon Janardhan Swamy enthusiastically rendered a educative speech with his biography and how he reached to his current position. As one of the youngest politician, he has to his records some of the biggest achievements which was applauded by the whole audience as he detailed those. He encouraged people to support him and he will do his best possible for the betterment of our state.
Some of the well known personalities were felicitated with memento to include, Methi Srinivas, Special Officer to Janardhan Swamy, S.K. Pranesh for Social Service, Nidhi Ganapathi Bhat for her achievement in various T.V. Programmes and shows.
Mallikarjuna Gowda proposed the vote of thanks and invited all the Sponsors, Guests, Special Invitees and Media Personalities on to the stage and honoured them with Shawl and Memento. Even all the participants were also invited on to the stage and honoured with mementos.
Soon the cultural programme started with a dance item by Jasmitha Vivek and her team comprising of Vinutha Ganesh, Divya Prakash, Prerena Gangadhar, Archana Gangadhar & Sandeep Shetty. Followed was singing by Gana Lahari Team comprising of Shiva Kumar, Gururaj, Uday Nanjappa, Deepa Santosh & Vidya Shiva Kumar. Both the dance item and the singing was well tuned and applauded.
The special attraction of the day was the father and son duo comedy entertainment from the bits of Master Hirennaiah's various political satires including 'Lanchaavatara' Kannada Drama well supported by son Narasimha Hirennaiah who rocked the stage continuously rib tickling with laughter and laughter never ever felt by the UAE audience. A man in his eighties still standing and presenting humors that too keeping up the expressions was mind blowing performance on the stage in Dubai ever done till recently. The veteran has left a stamp of his show in this part of the world with his second appearance.
Giving glitter to this show, on this occasion the audience enjoyed the special comedy show 'Nage Habba' well performed by the very famous Prof. Krishne Gowda group comprising of Ravi Bajantri & Indumathi Salimat. 'Humour reduces Stress, BP and Sugar complaints' says these three Comedy Artists who are very famous in Udaya TV back in India. They kept the audience roll on from their seats with their wit and humour non-stop wherein the audience had a new experience and good exercise laughing throughout.
On the whole the organisers presented a great show keeping the audience glued to their seats till the last moment who went home happily smiling.
