Mangalore, Dec 23: The CD Wilfy's compositions Volume 44 was released on Sunday December 22 at St Joseph Church, Jeppu by Fr Nelson Dalmeida after the Mass in the presence of parishioners.

Even though the legendary singer Wilfy Rebimbus is not in our midst physically, his voice, his lyrics, his songs and tunes will never fade from any Konkani household, said Fr Dalmeida. Over the last 50 years, be it any occasion wedding, christening, housewarming or even a birthday party, one can hear his rich meaningful songs. The songs composed in the 1970s stand out even to this day. It is truly said, time may fly, rivers may dry, but Wilfy’s songs will always remain in the heart of Konkani lovers.

The collection of songs he has left unreleased are ample, and the newly released Volume 44 has 10 songs from Wilfy’s compositions. Joining his songs for the first time, 'Konkan Mynah' Meena Rebimbus has rendered her composition too. Walking in the footsteps of their father, Veena and Vishwas have once again come back with one composition each in this album.

Music has been beautifully rendered by Joswin and Pappan. Rich voices of Wilfy’s troupe – Prem Lobo, Ivan Sequeira, Claude D’souza, Babitha Pinto, Munita Veigas, along with Rebimbus family 'Konkan Mynah' Meena Rebimbus, Veena Rebimbus Pais, Vishwas Rebimbus and Charleen Rebimbus have sung in this CD.

A special attraction in this CD is a song composed and sung by Wilfy during the situation of Gulf War 1990 – Iraq invasion over Kuwait.

CDs are available at all regular stalls – Jerosa Co, Milagres, Gem & Co, Milagres, Sisters of Pauline, Milagres, Favourite Collection, Bendorewell, Rebimbus Creation, Jeppu, Melody Master - Allwyn Sequeira, Qatar, Dubai, Muscat, Bahrain.
