Bangalore: With eye on LS polls, Deve Gowda, HDK try to woo Muslims

Bangalore, Dec 23 (DHNS): JD(S) chief H D Deve Gowda on Sunday said his party will not have pre-poll tie-up with the Congress and the BJP for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and that it will fight the elections on its own.

Speaking at a meeting with Muslim intellectuals, he said the JD(S) is not against Muslims. It is the Congress which is anti-Muslim. The JD(S) is committed to implement schemes and programmes for the welfare of the community, he added.

The party had organised the meeting with an intention to woo back the support of Muslims ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. The JD(S) had failed to get the backing of the community in the byelections to Bangalore Rural parliamentary constituency, leading to its defeat. The community was said to be upset with the JD(S) for having entered into tacit understanding with the BJP in the constituency for the bypoll.

Gowda further said the party formed governments with the Congress and the BJP in the past due to unavoidable circumstances. It will not recur in future. The party has learnt a bitter lesson. The JD(S) has never let down Muslims. It has fulfilled all promises made to the community, he added.

The Congress has used the community only as the vote bank. Muslims should be careful about the Congress leaders, who are known for betrayal. The Congress does not have any moral right to claim itself to be secular, Gowda said.

Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly H D Kumaraswamy claimed it is only the JD(S) which has remained truely secular. “Muslims should not punish the party just because we had joined hands with the BJP.  Other parties like BSP too had joined hands with the BJP to form government. But only the JD(S) is being punished,” he stated.

The Congress wanted to wipe out the JD(S) in the byelections to Bangalore Rural parliamentary constituency. Then, the BJP voluntarily extended support to the JD(S), the said.

    Dear readers,

A JD(S) of Appa-Maga party is getting old along with Gowdas age.

They played opportunistic politics by offering support to BJP.If BJP came to power in Karnataka it is JD(S)fault were sympathy votes turned to BJP.A Karnataka had seen worst in last 71/2 years of coalition ruling.A Junior Gowda went alliance with BJP again to save his madam own constituency.
The Kannadigas are proved wise voters by the time and kicked the worst.

For Congress last election is the trump card.If they fail to perform and anti incumbency affects,2014 will be exist. For JD(S) can only play spoilsport like KJP.

JD(S) WILL NOT HAVE PRE POLL ALIANCE BECAUSE IT WANT TO BE IN POWER WITH
ANY PARTY UPA/NDA/THRID FRONT OR FOURTH FRONT/BACK.
CONGI'S ATLEAST WILL SAY SUPPORT TO MUSLIMS IF NOT IN ACTIONS BUT JDS KEEP QUIET ONCE ELECTIONS OVER LIKE "MAUNAM PATINGA LAKSHANAM".

JD(S)has been punished not by the minorities as their claims, but by the overall voters of Karnataka, because they betrayed them and the BJP, which gave them the opportunity to sit on CM chair.People of Karnataka will never forgive JDS for cheating them!

These politicians take Muslims for granted...Every community including Muslims how valuable their vote is.. Gone are the days Muslims vote only for Congress , Now they vote for development, security, jobs , recent result in MP & Rajastan is the most evident. Congress cannot use Babri Masjid or Godhra ghost every time.

    Dear Siddik
until you have this blind belief that Khangress is only your Savior, Congi will always try to divide the society on community lines. They can cash is only with your insecurities. They want other community people to fall on you and purposely instigate favoritism so that you people should come in the red eye of others and the sad news is that you guys fall for it easily.

..hahaha..look at HDD statement..what a shame..these guys are thinking only minorities are going to vote..if so why congress lost in DELHI & other places..as per records they voted for Congress only..Soon in UP parliament election SP is going to lose badly..minority vote bank itself is a myth, even if it exists it may in some constituency only..It is so called majorities who are voting wisely which is tilting results...moreover, HDD,Congress game is going to hit them badly Minorities itself, since political parties spread rumors, propaganda at the cost of minorities..the community leaders who are in the above dias is only going to gain..

There is a saying: “A wise is not bitten from the same hole twice”. That means a voter may suffer a bite by a snake or a similar creature while he is taken unaware, the same thing should not be allowed to happen twice. We should always be careful so that we would not commit the same mistake,

JD(S) is back to minority appeasement. Deve Gowda and Sons party will eat dust in the coming LS elections. They got 40 seats in assembly thanks to Yeddy & Reddy splitting BJP votes, if not then they would have sunk below their lowest of 27 seats in 2008. However I also feel guilt to have inked 'Woman with grass on the head ' symbol in the bye elections in Aug as JD(S) had begged BJP to support Anitha in the Bangalore South LS seat....But then much water has flowed down the Cauvery & these crooks DG & Son who will lick any one's feet for power - needs to be taught a severe lesson in the coming elections...

More trouble for Khangress as its vote banks are being shared now. No they have to realize they cannot win votes by dividing people.
