M'lore: J R Lobo conveys Christmas wishes, outlines devt plans

Mangalore, Dec 24: Mangalore South MLA J R Lobo delivered his Christmas wishes to the people on Monday December 23 at a press meet and a get-together held in Kalaangann, Shaktinagar here.

A Christmas cake was cut to mark the occasion. Senior reporter of Udayavani Keshava Kundar Kundar cut the cake along with J R Lobo, Roy Castelinho of Roy Constructions and Elias Fernandes of Four Winds.

Addressing the gathering, Lobo said government has been doing a lot for the development of our district and the state. "The media has helped us a lot in our endeavours," he added.

"Funds have been sanctioned for various developmental works. Rs 43 lac has been sanctioned for Malnad development board. SFC has sanctioned Rs 926 lac for general development work under MCC, Rs 2 crore for the MLA fund, Rs 50 lac for natural disaster management, Rs 5 crore for small scale water supply scheme, Rs 45 lac for temple development, Rs 50 lac for SC/ST welfare, Rs 72 crore for port and fisheries development, Rs 386.79 lac for 2013-14 general fund, Rs 7.50 crore for court road development and so on," he explained

He also conveyed his Christmas and New Year greetings to the people of the constituency who he said have been the prime reason for all the success and development during his tenure so far.

T K Sudhir, P V Mohan, Denis D’Silva, Stany Bantwal, Louis Pinto, Krithin Kumar, Naveen Lobo, Nelson and others were present.
