Splendid event marks annual feast of Brahmavar parish

Udupi, Dec 27: The annual feast of Holy Family parish, Brahmavar was celebrated on Wednesday December 25 and Thursday December 26.

Fr Edwin D’Souza, director of ICYM and YCS of Udupi Diocese was the main celebrant of Vespers celebrations held on Wednesday December 25 night.

Fr Stany B Lobo, Kallianpur deanery vicar, many priests from the deanery and neighboring parishes also joined in the Eucharistic celebrations. Vespers celebrations concluded with adoration to Holy Sacrament on the occasion. A large number of parishioners and people from in and around attended the celebrations.

An attractive display of fireworks was also held after the holy mass at the parish grounds, which was sponsored by Wilfred and Shalet Lewis Matpady, New York, USA.

Brahmavar parish priest Fr Antony Vaz presented the blessed candles to Denis Rodrigues and family for coming forward to celebrate the feast and showered god's blessing on them. Along with them all the families, who annually contributed towards parish burse were honored.

Fr Dolphy Joseph Pais, Provincial of Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka presided over the grand festal Eucharistic celebrations along with Brahmavar parish priest Fr Antony Vaz, Fr Wilson Andrade, Fr Dominic, Fr Prakash, and many priests from the deanery and neighboring parishes were present during the holy mass.

Fr Antony Vaz thanked all the donors who contributed for the annual feast. The holy mass on confraternity Sunday December 22 was offered by Fr John Barboza.

In the evening various culture programs were staged by the parishioners.
