Mangalore: Fun-filled contests, fashion shows mark Nach Sobhann silver jubilee

Mangalore, Dec 29: Nach Sobhann, the dance wing of Mandd Sobhann and world’s only proponent of Baila marked its silver jubilee with ‘Fun Fiesta 2013’, an event that was a true blend of enjoyment and competitive spirit. The event was held at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar on Saturday, December 28.
The audience were treated to hours of stunning performances by children and youngsters who sportingly participated in competitions, fashion shows and much more.
The non-stop entertainment included dance competition, baby show for children between the ages of two to six years, carols singing (Konkani and English) contest, and finally a fashion show, where the contestants had to showcase their culture, walk the ramp in traditional attires and answer questions from judges. Winners were awarded cash prizes, trophies and certificates.
Besides, the evening comprised lucky-dip games, housie housie every hour, spicy chaats, food and beverages, DJ, request songs, auctions, crib competition and cooking without fire.
Nilan Dylan Lewis was crowned 'Mr Kodiyal' and Jasmine D'Souza 'Ms Kodiyal' in the ethnic fashion show event.
The entire event was crowded with people playing games, dancing, and watching the performances of kids.
Louis Pinto, president of Mandd Sobhann and other guests were present.
