Mangalore, Jan 3: To celebrate the new year, a unique programme called 'Christmas Tree' was organised for all parishioners of the Blessed Mother Teresa Kolkota Church, Paldane, Mangalore.

Fr G W Vas recited the prayer and conveyed the new year message. He added that this kind of programme will help the concerned persons of the church to develop unity, brotherhood and love.

This programme will also help to show the hidden talents of the individuals. Eleven teams were formed comprising from kindergarten children to senior citizens.

Prizes were distributed to the winners. There were other entertainment programmes. William Lobo, vice-president of the newly formed Parish Pastoral Council rendered the welcome speech and vote of thanks was conducted by secretary Veena Lobo.

The earlier Parish Pastoral Council vice-president Anil Monteiro and secretary Cicilia D'Silva were present on this occasion. The programme was compered by Roshan Crasta and Roshan Lasrado.
