Kasargod: Miscreants damage crib at Vorkady church

Kasargod, Jan 4: A Christmas crib was damaged here on the night of Thursday, January 2.  The crib was prepared at Sacred Heart Church premises in Vorkady here. The incident came to light on Friday January 3 morning. 








It is said that five small statues in the crib were damaged, along with another one kept near the church. Vorkady priest Fr Dennis Suares informed the Manjeshwar police station.

Kumble circle inspector Siby Thomas, Manjeshwar SI Bijulal and other policemen rushed to the spot and began investigation.

Manjeshwar block panchayth vice-president Harshad Vorkady, Vorkady gram panchayat president Suneetha Vasanth, ex-president V Devappa Shetty and others also visited the spot.

It is suspected that the incident occurred late at night.

    A very bad incident.looks like catholics to provoke.But I just say Keep cool,quiet,let Jesus decide what to do with These miscrants.He will look upon them.Its only a crib.Through damaging a crib they wont be succeed in damaging our faith.It is a lesson.Next crib should be done in church .Keep a camera hidden.Happy New year.
