Port Blair, May 9: Two earthquakes measuring 5.0 and 5.5 on the Richter scale shook Andaman Sea on Monday.
The first tremor measuring 5.0 occurred at 0714 hrs at 3.9° N Latitude and 97.3° E Longitude.
The other jolt, which occurred 1447 hrs, was epicentred at a latitude of 0.5° S degree North and a longitude of 101.5° E degree east, the India Meteorological Department said.
