Udupi: Punyakoti Teertha lake inaugurated at Brahmavar

Udupi, Jan 15: Punyakoti Teertha lake for cattle run by Govardhanagiri trust of Udupi Sri Pejawar Math was inaugurated on Tuesday, January 14 at Brahmavar. The lake is situated at Neelavar Goshale, a shelter for cattle.

Sri Vishwapriyateertha Swamiji of Sri Adamar Math inaugurated by pouring water brought from different pilgrimage centers into the lake.

He said that a house without a cow is like a crematorium and encouraged people to take advantage of the medicinal properties derived from cow's produce. He added that cow is the abode of Goddess Laxmi.

Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math said that cow is equal to mother and prayed that Lord Goplakrishna deters people from even thinking of slaughtering it.

Gopala Acharya conducted the programme. Nagaraj Ballal proposed vote of thanks.
