Bangalore: Foundation laid for St Joseph's Business School

Bangalore, Jan 16: The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on January 15 at St Joseph’s College Hostel Grounds, MG Road (popularly known as “Webs Ground”) to officially signify the start of the construction of the state of the art building to house the St Joseph’s College of Business Administration run by the pioneers in education, the fathers of Society of Jesus, popularly known as the Jesuits.
 
Dr Fr Stany D’Souza, vice president, BJES and the director SJCBA in his welcome address recalled the efforts of his predecessors in envisioning a modern campus for the management school. The building, with over a lakh sq ft of built up area, will have the most advanced facilities for a rigorous academic and leadership experience.

Fr Francis Serrao, provincial, Karnataka Jesuit Province, who blessed the foundation stone and the construction site, exhorted all the stakeholders in building a new and vibrant India.

Fr Claude D'Souza laid the foundation stone, amidst a gathering of Jesuits, faculty, students, benefactors and well-wishers.
