Kundapur: Man killed in road mishap

Kundapur, Jan 19: A man was killed in a road accident, after a government bus rammed to his bike here at Haladi on Saturday January 18.

The deceased has been identified as Krishna Devadiga, a contract attender based in the Shankarnarayana Grampanchayath.

Krishna Devadiga along with a friend were travelling from Haladi towards Shankarnarayana when the government bus rammed to his bike near the bridge.

Due to accident, his limbs were completely shattered and he suffered from severe injuries. The pillion rider escaped with minor injuries after he fell off  the bridge. Krishna Devadiga breathed his last on his way to a hospital at Manipal.

A couple of months ago, Krishna Devadiga was suspended from his attender post after he attacked a Haladi professor at a JCI programme due to protests from the public.
