Karkala: Youth found murdered, gambling suspected

Karkala, Jan 22: A youth was found murdered at Kaveribettu of Palli here on Tuesday January 21.

The deceased is identified as Almeida (25), an A C mechanic.  He had not come home on Monday night.  It is confirmed that he was murdered between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Almeida's clothes were found to be mud ridden, indicating that a fight might have erupted between the victim and the murderer.

As gambling is rampant in the village, the locals have said that the youth might have become the victim of gambling related fight.

Police arrested Suresh and subjected him to questioning.

Further investigations are on.
