Mangalore, Jan 30: Kannada Sahitya Parishat Dakshina Kannada, Mangalore Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Kannada department of Pompei College, Aikala jointly held A R D’ Souza Datti programme at the Pompei College, Aikala, Kinnigoli recently.
Pompei College principal Dr John Carence Miranda inaugurated the programme. Dakshina Kannada district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura presided over the programme.
Benet G Ammanna of Karnataka Theological College gave a lecture on history of Catholics in Karnataka and contribution of Catholics to Kannada culture.
Professor Nemichandra welcomed. Vijayalaxmi B Shetty, president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Mangalore taluk proposed the vote of thanks. Krishnamoorthi and Ramanath Kotian were at the dais.
