Karkala: Engg students ends life for scoring low marks

Karkala, Feb 1: An engineering student is said to have committed suicide by hanging for getting low marks in exams.

The deceased has been identified as Rashmi (18), a resident near Sadananda Kamath road here. 

She is said to have hanged herself between Friday January 31 night and Saturday February 1 morning.

Rashmi was a third year student of computer engineering at MITE in Moodbidri.

A case has been registered in the town police station based on a complaint lodged by Rashmi's father Padmanabha Acharya.
