Mangalore, Feb 3: St Lawrence Church Bondel celebrated its parish day on Sunday February 2.

All the parishioners gathered together as a family in the church at 10 am and Fr Micheal Lobo, principal, Lourdes Central School Bejai celebrated the Holy  Eucharist.

All the parish council members who had served for past 3 years were felicitated by the parish priest Fr Andrew D’souza before the mass.

During the mass the newly elected parish  council members took an oath to work for the betterment of the Parish.

After the Holy Eucharist , games were conducted for all the Parishioners. After the games all the Parishioners gathered together as a family  to have lunch which was prepared by the parishioners itself.

On the occasion, a stage programme was conducted in the evening which began at 5.30 pm and Elias D’Souza (MD Forewinds)  was invited as the chief  guest for the  formal stage function.

Rudolf Pinto who served as the vice-president and Reginald D’Souza who served as the secretary of the parish council were felicitated by the parish priest on behalf  of all the parishioners.

After the formal stage function some of the parishioners enacted a drama which was written by Dolphy  Cascia named “Rathichi voram aat” .
