CM announces Rs 1 cr bonanza for K'taka's Ranji winners

Bangalore, Feb 3: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced a Rs 1 crore bonanza for the State’s Cricket Team for its victory in the Ranji Trophy finals against Maharashtra.
 
Karnataka Cricket Team won big 7-wicket victory under the captaincy of Vinay Kumar, who is popularly known as Davangere Express for his fast-bowling.
 
The Karnataka Cricket Team had won the last Ranji Trophy 15 years back.
 
The present cricket team won the finals against Maharashtra at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Hyderabad on Sunday.
 
The announcement of the bumper cash prize, the Chief Minister said would give a boost to the morale of the State Cricket players and give a fillip for further victories in the future too, says an official press release.
