Udupi: NABARD officials visit banks supported by self-help groups

Udupi, Feb 6: Under the initiative of Mangalore NABARD, DGM Anil Kulkarni along with various bank representatives and their teams visited to study the AC Bank functioning and the timely operations of the self help groups.

13 officers from rural and national banks from Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, AndraPradesh were present in study team.  

On this occasion Kulkarni speaking to media said “In the North East they do not receive any support in the method of SNG.  Prcocessing information about the self help groups and training them to implement this in North East is required for the development works. If the development  are well done then the coastal district will be a role model district.”

On this occasion Belapu AC Bank, Uchila Branch Manager Shashidar Kotiyan, Chandrashekar Taluk Supervisor of Navodhaya Self Help groups, Kanthi Acharya, AC Bank Ganesh Shetty, Niranjan Shetty, Usha S Shetty were present.
