Karkala: Ravi Shastri visits Vishnumurthy Temple, Karvalu

Karkala, Feb 9: Former Indian Cricket player Ravi Shastri visited the Vishnumurthy Temple at Karvalu in Karkala on Saturday February 8.

From the past 6 years, the former cricketer has been a regular visitor of this temple.

Shastri’s ancestors were from Karvalu and sources have reported that after 18 years of marriage the Shastri couple  were blessed with a child in the

form of the Karvalu deity. According to astrologists the couple recieved this blessing due to their devotion for the deity at Karvalu,

He also performed various rituals to Vishnu and Naga at Nagabana.

Temple administrator Somashekar Rao welcomed. Journalist Manohar Prasad, Temple president Chandrashekar Hegde, vice president Yuvaraj

Nayak, Anathapatabhiram, Naveen Kumar, Harichandra Rao, Jeevanada Shetty were present.
