Mangalore, Feb 12: Yashpal Suvarna one of the youth leader from the costal belt has been elected as secretary of Karnataka State BJP Yuva Morcha. Prior to this he has worked in many different post at the district and state levels.

He entered politics in the year1996. He also worked as a member in the RSS.

He served as the Bajarang dal Jilla Sanchalaka, Udupi district president for Hindu Yuva. He was also once elected as a nominated member and twice as elected member for the Udupi municipality council. 

He was elected as the city president for the BJP yuva Morcha -   Udupi during 2006 – 08. He is the founder of the Fisherwomen Association. 

Presently he is one of the directors at Mahalakshmi Co- operative bank Udupi and also a trustee at Bannaje Mahalingeshwa Temple.

He was awarded with the Rajiv Gandhi Excellent award in 2013 when he was the president of South Canara and Udupi District Co – Op Fish marketing Federation Ltd; he also won the out standing performance development 2012 award for Co – Op Society Development.
