Mumbai, Jun 4: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards to be held in Dubai this month will present a fashion extravaganza for the first time to showcase the spirit of Bollywood.

Actress Dia Mirza will go back to her roots at the IIFA awards to be held in Dubai this year.

The former Miss Asia-Pacific turned actress will be hosting a fashion extravaganza put together by the celebrated Bollywood fashion designers, Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis.

The designers are all set to capture the spirit of Bollywood in their unique style.

"The fashion show is going to be glamorous, which is I think is Bollywood today. My collection is inspired by the Arabic culture and the Indian culture,” Malhotra said.

"The autumn-winter collection has a lot of purple. I am using a lot of prints that I have never used before. I am using a lot of maxis. And there is a lot of elegance,"he added.

"It is a tribute to the industry where I am showcasing my collections in front of the industry that I work with every day. It is a great opportunity and it is a great platform," Phadnis said.

The awards that is just a fortnight away, is moving from sports to fashion this year.

It is also gearing up to mix film and fashion with India's biggest models and stars to walk the ramp.
