Kasargod: Thieves decamp with cash, jewelery in broad daylight

Kasargod, May 23: Robbers entered a house in broad daylight at Varkady in the Manjeshwar police station limits and decamped with cash and jewelery on Thursday May 22.

The robbery occurred in a house belonging to Abdul Azeez, a resident of Varkady Nechinapadavu. The robbers entered the house after breaking the back door, took thirty sovereigns of gold ornaments and Rs 15,000 that was kept in two almairas.

The family of Abdul Azeez, a dealer in soft drinks had gone to their relatives house on Thursday morning. When they returned in the evening, they saw that the back door was broken and realized that gold and cash was stolen by breaking the almairas.

Soon afterwards, a complaint was registered in the Manjeshwar police station and the police have begun the investigations.
