Three foreign engineers killed in Afghanistan bombing


Kabul, June 2 (IANS): At least three foreign engineers were killed Monday in a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan, official sources said.

The killing occurred around 7.15 a.m. in the Behsoud district of Nangarhar province, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, provincial government spokesman, told Xinhua.

One foreign engineer was wounded in the attack.

Unofficial sources said the victims were Turkish and serving in a local construction firm.

An official said an investigation has been launched and more information will be released later on the day.

The bodies were shifted to a hospital in the provincial capital Jalalabad.
