Pakistan fires at Indian posts on LoC


Jammu, Jun 13 (IANS): Pakistan Army Friday opened unprovoked firing at Indian positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, police said.

"Pakistan Army started unprovoked firing at Indian positions along the LoC in Tarkundi, Kanga Gali, Sawala Gali and Balakote areas of Poonch this (Friday) morning," a senior police officer told IANS here.

"Pakistan Army also used mortars to target the Indian positions. The firing started at 8 a.m. Ambulances have been rushed to meet any emergency in the affected areas," the police officer said.

One army soldier was killed and five were injured Thursday in two landmine blasts along the LoC in Poonch.
