M'lore: Illegal sand transportation to Kerala - 7 trucks seized

Mangalore, Jul 11: Officials of mines and geology department impounded seven truck from Talapady on Kerala border, after finding that they were involved with illegal transportation of sand to Kerala. 


The trucks so seized bear registration numbers issued in Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamill Nadu. 

To hoodwink the officials, the transporters had mixed some cement with the sand loaded into their trucks. The officials, acting on reliable information, raided the spot and took the vehicles into custody.

The trucks were thereafter handed over to Ullal police station for further investigation.
