Mumbai, July 14: Alia Bhatt is all set to star opposite her favourite actor Ranbir Kapoor.
According to certain sources, Alia will be seen sharing the screen space with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time in her career in Ayan Mukerji's next.
Ayan is scripting for his third directorial venture. His first two films as directors 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' were huge hits at the box office. Both the films had Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, who is also his best friend.
The upcoming film is not titled yet. The untitled film is said to be about a superhero. Deepika was said to be the heroine for the film, as she is very close to Ayan. But as she will be seen with Ranbir in Imtiaz Ali's 'Tamaasha,' Alia was selected to play the lead.
The untitled film will be produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. Alia Bhatt is having a great 2014, with all her films striking gold at the box office.
