Mangalore: Two houses damaged as retaining wall collapses

Mangalore, Jul 14: A retaining wall of a house collapsed and fell on another house below, leaving behind the other part of the house in danger. This incident occured at Bajjodi, Bikarnakatte on Monday July 14 at 6 in the morning.

The house of which the retaining wall had fallen belongs to Rajesh, a bus driver by profession. The house on which the wall fell belongs to Sadashiva, an activist of Congress Sevadala. The total estimated cost for recovery is estimated to be around a lac.


Since a portion of the wall has collapsed, the other part and the whole of the house is in danger. The ground has loose soil and the residents fear of further damage to property and the house.

Corporator Keshava rushed to the spot for help and informed the concerned department.
