Mangalore: House at Bajjodi damaged as retaining wall collapses

Mangalore, Jul 15: A house was damaged after the retaining wall collapsed in Bajjodi near Veeramaruthi Vyamashale here on Tuesday July 15.

The incident occurred around 6 am.


The house belongs to Maria Cutinha. It is said that the incident occured when Maria Cutinha and her husband were out.

Sources said that the same retaining wall had collapsed the previous year during monsoon. After the incident they had repaired the house but the incident has repeated.

The huge stone which was inside the wall has completely damaged the back of the house.

Rs two lacs loss is said to be incurred from the incident.

Corporator Keshava and city corporation AW Krishnanda rushed to the spot.
