Mumbai, July 16: The crew of the stranded MV Priyanka were waiting to be rescued by a helicopter.

The vessel drifted when her anchor cable parted due to rough weather. The vessel tilted dangerously as it approached the coast.  The vessel was manned by 16 Indian crew members.

The crew was airlifted from the stranded ship. The air crew rescue diver and the pilots of the helicopter braved the inclement weather, incessant rains and high wind speeds to rescue the crew.
