Mangalore: AJ Hospital hosts regional conference 'AD-Nursing'

Mangalore, Jul 18: A regional level conference on 'AD-Nursing' (Global Progress-Excellence in Administration) was inaugurated here at the conference hall at AJ hospital on Friday July 18.

Dr Juliana Linnet D'Sa, department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing, King Saud University of Riyad, KSA inaugurated the ceremony and released the 'AD-Nursing' logo.


Dr Juliana after the inauguration, addressing the gathering said, "Nursing administration is a excellent topic and there are three major points to be remembered in this regard. You have to become a very good administrator in nursing; nurses should have a presence of mind and should be a good leader to take quick actions. We have to be aware of ourselves regarding our behaviour, have a good relation with the working staff, students and other people."

Dr Larissa Martha Sams, principal of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, said that administrators means everyone expects the command or order from them. "You should be very apt and quick in this field and have to take the right decision at the right time," she added.

Dr Hemanth Kumar, in  his presidential address shared his thoughts and said that the administration nursing is one of the best topics to have a seminar on.

Anita Kose Peter, a MSc student welcomed the guests while Lijia Jose proposed the vote of thanks.

A memento was presented to Dr Juliana Linnet D'Sa as a token of remembrance. Lijo P Thampy briefed on the topic 'AD-Nursing.'
