Salman Khan to play lead in 'Shuddhi'

Mumbai, Jul 22: Salman Khan has been signed as the lead in Karan Johar's big budget project 'Shuddhi'. The movie is dirceted by Karan Malhotra who is very happy with the development.

"Karan and I met Salman at his Bandstand house. He said 'yes' after listening to just 20 minutes of the narration. Salman sir has made 'Shuddhi' bigger and better. My film is now top-lined by India's biggest star who has a phenomenal reach," said Karan Malhotra.

'Shuddhi' is a periodic drama set over two different periods. The movie is said to have lots of action scenes. The movie is scheduled to release in the year 2016.
