New Delhi, Sep 7: The country's top car maker Maruti Udyog Ltd will make 50,000 vehicles for Japan's Nissan Motor Co, the Suzuki Motor Chairman, Osamu Suzuki, said on Thursday.
Maruti is 54.2 per cent-owned by Suzuki Motor Corp.
Nissan Motor and Suzuki in June agreed to broaden their business plans to include the use of each other's manufacturing facilities in emerging markets such as India.
Chairman Suzuki also said Maruti is expected to sell 6,30,000 units in the year to March 2007.
