New Delhi, Sep 10: With terrorists threats looming large on packed commuter trains, the Delhi Metro has decided to install security cameras inside coaches to keep a track of the activities of passengers.
DMRC is planning to introduce coaches with built-in surveillance cameras in the second phase which will be in place before the Commonwealth Games to be hosted in the national capital in 2010.
The security measure was apparently taken in the wake of the recent serial bomb blasts in rush-hour passenger trains in Mumbai and similar attacks on rail networks in Madrid and London.
